Your Role

The Manager HR shall plan, direct, lay out and coordinate the activities of the HR department in a manner to minimize delays and errors and maximize productivity and efficiency. This include leading strategic HR initiatives and simultaneously executing day to day HR tasks. The Manager HR shall serve as an effective business partner to Operations and rest of the organization in HR, employee engagement and Payroll matters.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate departmental operations recommending improvements in quality, productivity and employee relations.    
  •  Create, design, coordinate, implement and evaluate new programs, activities, policies, etc. to enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization’s employee relations and communications. 
  • Create and publish company newsletter and provide other means of employee communications.
  • Implement employees’ annual performance review program and provide necessary recommendation to management.
  • Develops, evaluates and enforces company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure published company policy and procedure complies with all lawfully enacted, valid, and applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations.
  • Maintain secure, detailed employment files on all non-executive company employees, which comply with all valid laws, rules and regulations. 
  • Develop and maintain an FAA approved anti-drug and anti-alcohol abuse program for all covered employees.
  • Function as the primary interface between the company and needed legal service providers. 
  • Coordinates employee immigration matters, interacts with company attorney with employment issues.
  • Select, train and assist subordinates in proper procedure, methods and practices to be followed in each respective duty to ensure overall integrity of the human resources department.
  • Maintain adequate supply of office supplies, postages as needed. Initiate requisitions for office equipment, supplies and other items as needed.
  • Develop and maintain competitive employee salary and benefits program(s); promoting new and/or improved employee benefits to enhance employer/employee relations.
  • Select provider and implement required worker's compensation insurance with approved provider. 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in training, education and/or experience
  • 5 years Human Resources experience
  • 2 years in a supervisory capacity
