Responsible for the maintenance of inventory which includes the issuance and receipt of various parts, tools, and supplies, while maintaining appropriate record keeping, for the receipt and handling of materials, supplies, equipment, and services in an accurate, timely/cost effective manner. The LC II position is considered as a conduit to reach the more advanced positions. Maintains knowledge of complex operational, regulatory, and commercial processes.

   

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Maintain knowledge of an extensive array of commercial and regulatory documents that must accompany materials through the receiving process.
  • Review commercial and regulatory documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve problems that prevent materials from being received.
  • Develop the ability to make critical decisions on how to receive a part based on complicated sets of variables.
  • Perform complex SAP and customer database transactions.
  • Study and learn applicable process and procedures manuals.
  • Retrieve and process customer off-units up to the point of shipping.
  • Prepare parts for and coordinate/schedule for shipping pick-up.
  • Train for and be able to operate in the more advanced positions, be ready when asked to operate in or advance to a higher position.
  • Assist in recognizing and solving problems that impact the core mission of Logistics processing parts in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Other work assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Perform a wide variety of routine clerical tasks.
  • Process material transactions:
    • Issue material directly to aircraft job numbers or department accounts.
    • Transfer material within various store areas.
    • Return material to inventory.
    • Binning of stock material.
  • Accomplish cycle counts on inventory.
  • Control customer furnished materials.
  • Oversee and participate in the accurate Issuing and acceptance of returned tooling.
  • Oversee and participate in the movement of materials and tooling between the central warehouse and any of the hangars or satellite warehouse locations with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Oversee handling of chemicals while ensuring adherence to the requirements of the MSDS and use of applicable personal protective equipment.
  • Achieve an advanced level of research skills to locate problematic materials or to troubleshoot and solve operational problems.
  • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area.
  • Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary for each interdepartmental position (Stores, Tooling, Shipping, and Receiving, etc.) authorized by the department manager and/or Training Department.
  • Train and oversee the work of assigned LC I staff.
  • Learn and be able to operate in the more advanced positions, be ready when asked to advance to a higher position.
  • Assist in recognizing and solving problems that impact the core mission of delivering parts in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform any work that may be assigned by his/her supervisor.

   

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Good knowledge of office procedures and equipment including typewriters, copiers, calculators, fax machines, and micro-computers
  • Ability to operate in SAP, prepare routine reports and maintain specialized files and records.
  • Have the initiative to be productive and always keep the team productive. Must seek increasing responsibilities.

   

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

SUPERVISION

Works independently with little supervision. Performs assignment after receiving minimal instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. Little room for deviation.

     

INTERPERSONAL RELATION

A high level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with management and co-workers. Must mentor and train skill level I team members. Provide direct and strong support to Senior Controllers and Leads.

   

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Requires easy mobility around storage facilities and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in upper and lower storage bins. Working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 50lbs. and report to work regularly.

   

JOB QUALIFICATIONS        

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED required.

   

EXPERIENCE

1-year experience preferred with a warehouse environment.
