The Accountant (Revenue & AR) shall be responsible for Revenue accounting, Invoicing, Customer Exposure reporting and Profitability Analysis. 

         

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with the billing team and invoice customers promptly.
  • Manage and track customer receipts/collections and match against appropriate invoices.
  • Proactively highlight overdue receivables to Marketing and Management and follow through to collections.
  • Timely month-end close on revenue and receivables with appropriate recording into a general ledger
  • Good understanding of job order creation in WIP, contractual progressive billings, accounts receivables, unbilled receivables => Total Customer Exposure Reporting
  • Weekly customer exposure reporting
  • Liaise with Planning on Revenue Accrual for month-end closing
  • Prepare Gross Profit Report by Customers, by Job Order by utilizing SAP COPA (Controlling & Profitability Analysis) report and aircraft additional indices source from Planning
  • Responsible for all revenue related reporting to management and Corporate
  • Liaise with Planning on Aircraft RTS and hit ratio for Forecast purpose
  • Perform customer credit evaluation and propose credit limit for management approval
  • Participate and support year-end external audit requirements
  • Support any ad-hoc analysis that the Manager, Finance may assign  

  

DELIVERABLES

  • Proactively monitor and track all variables to reduce Customer Exposure
  • Collaborate closely with the billing team to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
  • Timely delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting needs to management and corporate

      

EXPERIENCE

The Accountant should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the aerospace industry (preferred but not a must). Be versatile, have good communication skills and have an analytical, inquiring and commercial mind. Able to embrace technology for productivity. The incumbent is to expect a fast-paced working environment and collaboration with Marketing, Planning, and Operations. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment would be considered favorably.

      

PREFERRED SKILLS

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and relevant accounting standards (US GAAP & IFRS)

Analytical mind with business acumen

Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player

   

SYSTEMS & IT SKILLS

Excel (Advanced), SAP, Hyperion, Office 365, Word, and Powerpoint
