The Material Service Agent will be responsible for attending and sometimes managing Status Meetings and maintaining Status Reports for assigned Aircraft.  Assisting Customers with shipping parts into and out of San Antonio Aerospace to support Aircraft Maintenance.  Work with Production Staff Members and Aircraft Parts Buyers to ensure correct parts are purchased and received promptly. 

   

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Heavy Data Entry  
  • Assist Data Entry/Analyst with questions on requisitions such as:

           -   Verify part number(s) being ordered is effective for aircraft.
           -   Verify job numbers on requisitions are correct.
           -   Verify each requisition has a Non-routine, Routine, Engineering Authorization, Customer Task Card or equivalent attached.
           -   Enter new part numbers in the Master Part Nbr File under correct p/n and help clean up any discrepancies in the Master Parts file. 
           -   Assist in typing Outside Service Requisitions for Fab Travelers and taking paperwork to the Receiving Department when required.

  • Obtain signatures from Project Managers for all parts over $750.00. 
  • Obtain signatures from Customers for parts over VT SAA Limit.
  • Change part #s on requisitions when Buyer finds Alternates.
  • Add notes to all lines on the status report for assigned Aircraft, and add Customer notes and shipping information.
  • Coordinate with Buyers and Expeditors on arrival dates of all parts ordered by SAA. 
  • Work with Receiving on any issues with incoming parts from Customers.  Also, work with Receiving Inspection and Customer to clear up any parts rejected and quarantined.
  • Notify Receiving, via AOG Board, of all inbound hot parts.
  • Escort Customer to Stockrooms, shipping and or receiving as needed. 
  • Attend all Pre-dock meetings on assigned aircraft and all other meetings required.
  • Work weekend duty as assigned.
  • Work with the Production Maintenance Staff daily to maintain correct information on Status Reports. 
  • Leave turnovers, as required, for Night Shift and Weekend personnel.   
  • Maintain Aircraft in House List.
  • Run daily Status Reports for Customers and Buyers.
  • Deliver reports to all users.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required by management.

  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Typing 40 wpm and strong ten key data entry skills are required.  Must be highly organized and a self-starter.  Must be able to cope with high-stress situations and have excellent people skills.  Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft word is a plus.  Flexibility in the everyday work schedule must accommodate each Customer’s needs.

SUPERVISION

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate-controlled office but are not limited to the office; employees must be able to walk and climb stairs though out the day. Employees must be able to cope with stress, and mental exhaustion, due to the pressures of accomplishing set goals, meeting short deadlines, and maintaining numerous projects simultaneously. 

     

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

A high school diploma or GED is required.  Must be Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office with a moderate degree of experience in Microsoft Excel

    

EXPERIENCE

One year of college or equivalent. SAP and Aircraft knowledge is a plus.
