Your Role

Primarily responsible for the supervision and training of student/trainee employees in various training programs throughout their training cycles. Develops and delivers various training as required for the completion of the respective training cycle. Coordinate student work schedules and training requirements to ensure completion of FAA certification for Airframe & Powerplant License or other training requirements that may be required.

        

What You'll Do

  • Develop and validate lesson plans as needed.
  • Assure that all training courses are designed to produce maximum effectiveness, efficiency, improved quality, and increased production for the trainee.
  • Evaluate existing lesson plans for accuracy and pertinence to the trades as needed.
  • Develop supplemental materials to include demonstrations, mock-ups, Power Point presentations, and student handouts.
  • Write and validate all testing materials including written tests and performance tests pertaining to courses taught.
  • Maintain current records and rosters for all courses taught.
  • Ensure that all course completions are entered in the training record (computer record and paper record) for each trainee.
  • Coordinate with the Directors of Maintenance, Quality, and respective Departmental Heads for training requests and acceptable start dates and times for all courses to be taught.
  • Present new employee orientation classes as required.
  • Oversee the transition of Completed Students/Trainees to their respective skill level.
  • Coordinate student/ scheduled pay adjustments with Payroll upon completion of required interval per program PPM and receipt of valid documentation.
  • Assess, evaluate, interview and recommend AMT, ATP & Intern student candidates for their respective program.
  • Assist in selection of AMT, ATP & Intern student candidates from various sources i.e. High Schools, Part 147 schools etc.
  • Develop solid working relationships with Production Managers, Supervisors, Leads and Mentors to ensure AMT, ATP & Intern student are progressing through Training cycle.

    

Job Specifications

Must be able to always maintain, a professional Instructor / Student relationship. Requires excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Must be able to present ideas, instructions and guidance to students and employees in a manner that is clearly understood.

    

What You'll Need

Education - Diploma or GED Required. BS or equivalent through training and/or experience.

Experience - Two years Military or civilian Training Instructor experience and/or Instructional Development experience; Project management experience; Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of databases and training management software systems. Aviation maintenance experience preferred.
