Your Role

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evolving the enterprise network and infrastructure systems. The role will be responsible for ensuring all computers and IT infrastructure communicate safely and seamlessly, manage wireless access points, cloud, data storage and retrieval, and other emerging areas such as cloud technology. The IT Manager role ensures that the enterprise communications infrastructure remains effective through the deployment and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks, routers, modems, and other related network and infrastructure systems.

This role will be responsible for communication Network Architecture/Engineering strategy, design, and implementation. In addition, provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.  This role is also expected to be hands-on.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new data and voice communication network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks, including the responsibilities for installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Lead configuration of firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Implement and ensure adherence to all IT policies and procedures, including but not limited to Infrastructure, Security, Disaster Recovery, End User standards.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, switching, IPSEC, VPCs, SD-WAN solutions etc.
  • Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Design and maintain Network and Collaboration infrastructure to ensure reliable operation of local area, world-wide and virtual private networks (VPN) as well as resiliency and redundancy
  • Maximize network and connectivity performance through ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Perform incident management on wide variety of issues impacting Network and Collaboration infrastructure or that are result of failure in its operation
  • Enforce vendor SLAs and RTOs based on consultant contracts and/or vendor service agreements.
  • Procure Infrastructure equipment and manage subcontractors involved with installation
  • Ensure network and connectivity equipment are updated to the latest firmware releases
  • Build and maintain documentation Data & Voice Network and Connectivity infrastructure
  • Adhere to property asset management practice for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.

What You'll Need

  • Formal Education & Certification

    • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science/engineering and 7 years related work experience.
    • Networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA are Preferred
    • 7+ years of experience with operational administration of Network Infrastructure
    • 4+ years of experience with operational administration of Cisco Infrastructure
    • 4+ years of experience with operational administration of Palo Alto Infrastructure
    • Experience working with monitoring platforms; LogicMonitor and Tanium a bonus
    • Advanced experience with Cisco ISE, OTV, DMVPN and Meraki
    • Background with enterprise Routing and Switching technologies
    • Knowledge and experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols
    • Experience with more than two enterprise LAN, SD-WAN and WAN topologies
    • Strong background with operational administration of Network Management Systems and IPAM

     

    Must Haves:

    • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
    • Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
    • Extensive Network and Infrastructure support experience.
    • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
    • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
